  • I dont remember previous u16 batch scoring a lot of goals. Danu and VPS were main scorers. It was good defensively and thats our strength of this batch.

  • Possibly the ground was horrible..also could be nervous about the tournament as the U16 batch has been rocking SAFF..Peer pressure ... I however see them winning this tournament .

  • In 2015, India managed to defeat Bangladesh on Penalties in semifinal after being 0-0 in regulation time. then in Finals , they lost to Nepal on penalties after score tied at 1-1.

In 2017, it was Round Robin league format. Nepal defeated us 2-0. Bangladesh defeated india 4-3. We finished 3rd last time.

2015 was more like B team or AIFF  Mumbai academy..A team that had Nishu Kumar etc was playing in Malaysia

2017 the batcj of Edmund Lalrindika, Princeton, Halder etc just screwed up..some of them are in oblivion now

Yes the 2017 batch screwed up but hardly any of them are in oblivion.
Sahil Panwar played many matches for Pune City in the ISL
Deepak Tangri played a lot for arrows and has now gone to Chennaiyin.
Lalawmpuia has been playing very well for FC Goa Reserves and played well for Goa in the Santosh Trophy too.
Pranjal Bhumij made many appearances from the bench for Mumbai City and even scored a long range banger against KBFC
Aditya Patra played for BFC B I-League 2nd Div
Ashish Rai played 29 games for Arrows.
Namgyal Bhutia, Lalengzama and Roshan Singh started for BFC reserves for many games. Roshan scored a lot of goals for them too.
The likes of Halder and Zonumawia ( PCFC B and CFC B ) got less game time.
Only Mohd Haroon and Jayananda Singh have disappeared from the scene

If you don't play for ISL main teams and EB MB you're in oblivion. That's the logic

The team which played in AFC Championship 2018 against Iran and reached quarterfinals

Niraj Kumar (GK); Shahbas Ahammed (66’ – Harpreet Singh), Thoiba Singh, Bikash Yumnam, Gurkirat Singh; Ravi Rana, Givson Singh (74’ – L.Sailo), Ricky Shabong, Vikram Singh (C), Bekey Oram, Ridge De’Mello (83’ – Harpreet).

The Current bibiano squad has all these players except L Sailo, Oram, De mello, Harpreet & Harpreet Singh with additions from some U17 worldcuppers....  But they are playing an attractive possession based style, which was not the case under bibiano during AFC Asian u16 championship....

So if any of these players after playing for Indian Arrows this Ileague season, goes on to play for Senior team, then credit can be given to Pinto... If they all go into oblivion, then probably sack the coach...
