Uttam Rai was offered all expenses paid trials by Reading FC for their U18 academy while Uttam was with Chicago Rush , but his management company Libero Sports did not allow him to go for it...I had a chat with his brother today and told him not continue with libero after his contract expires this year...on the bright side though Uttam so impressed Chicago coaches..that they have arranged a trial for him with MLS side Portland Timbers , but he at the moment does not meet the minimum age criteria of 18 yrs..to play for them.

Portland Timbers have a age limit? They have teams that go down to U10.
No i mean to play in MLS...Chicago Rush coaches were of the opinion that , there is not much that academy can offer Uttam now and he should play in higher level.

MLS have had players make debuts at 17. Freddy Adu made his debut at 14 so I dont see why age is a problem. As for his Academy stay. I would rather him develop before going professional. Reading would be great for him.
I doubt it because Fegundez and Agudelo were foreign born and made their debuts at 17. I am guessing it is because Uttam would take a foreign player spot.
