  • Paes and Vardhan may have as good a chance to advance to the QFs today as any. Tsonga, just finished a 66 game marathon match in the singles so he may not be at peak fitness during the doubles.<br>

<br><br>Impossible. The Olympic website was perhaps talking about the Singaporeans, who were eliminated with their first two losses. Gutta/Ponnappa have exactly as many wins as the Japanese and Taiwanese teams, and after the Singapore game, they have won & lost the same number of games as the Japanese (the Taiwanese won one game more), so the final decision came down to the individual points won - lost. The Japanese had a net difference of 4, the Indians had 3.<br>

i expect india to win min. of 5 medals and at max. 7 medals as gagan narang yet to take part in 2 more events...<div>my prediction:</div><div>shooting-2</div><div>Tennis-1</div><div>wrestling-1</div><div>bandmint.-1</div><div>boxing-2</div><div><br></div><div>honestly i dont expect medal from hockey at best they can achieve 4th or 5th position...</div>

<br><div>replace tennis with a medal in archery and 2 in shooting is less if gagan(2 events still left),ronjan and manjeet hits their top form in their respective events still 6 medals is a possible target i guess</div>
