2014-15 I-League Round 2: The New Boys to Make Their Debut

After a decent start to the 2014-15 I-League, we enter our second round welcoming the leagues newest side, Bharat FC. Bharat will open their campaign against Dempo side who will look to get their first three points of the season. However, before that game, on Friday we will see Salgaocar try to earn their first three points against Royal Wahingdoh at the Fatorda Stadium. Royal Wahingdoh began their season with a victory in the Shillong-derby but this will be their biggest test so far away from home. Derrick Pereira has already spoken about strengthening his squad so maybe we might see a stronger Salgaocar take the field on Friday.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, after Bharat take on Dempo we will see Bengaluru FC host Pune FC. Both clubs will be looking for their first three points of the season. Pune FC may be able to start their marquee striker Darko for this one while Bengaluru FC will probably just play the same team as last Saturday.

On Sunday we will end the round with Shillong Lajong looking to bounce back against Mumbai FC, who will also be looking to avenge an opening day loss.

This round is only 4 games as the fifth match, East Bengal vs Mohun Bagan, the Kolkata derby, has been postponed till 11 February 2015.
