AFC Cup has just turned into a joke now. Unlimited playoffs involving useless clubs from Nepal and Sri Lanka who dont have a proper league. I think Indian clubs should look at pulling out of this tournament,atleast in its present format
@debarghya89 We have a better chance at succeeding in AFC cup than ACL in near future( provided clubs are serious about it) agree on the issues in current format though. country protection issue needs to be taken care of. This can be resolved by holding a common draw between Central and South Asia zone ( currently only these 2 zones have single group each) holding a common draw between these can solve the issue of having clubs from same country drawn in same group.
Reports in the Kolkata media (Anandabazar , Ei Samay) indicate that ATK Mohun Bagan might have to field a second string line up in the AFC Cup group stages . The team is likely to reach the Maldives on 10th May and will take the field on the 14th
