Not sure under which thread I should be posting this, hope this is right one
here are number of matches played by players at club level .. this excludes games at U18 level except 1-2 players from korea but that number wont go beyond 30(numbers collected from transfermarkt, so not 100% accurate)
this should give general idea as how much we are lagging behind.. I dont blame players for this tbh but If anyone claims we are improving and can become top 5 countries at Asia then show them these stats
According to this report in Ei Samay, Nabi is currently working as a match analyst for ISL at Star Sports Bangla. He was a member of the Peerless SC team that won the CFL this year. He has said that he was offered a contract by two I-league clubs but could not take them up because of his prior commitment with Star Sports Bangla. He wants to continue playing for two-three years more along with his television job.
But Nabi was a really hardworking and versatile player. He had good technical skills as well. Had he gotten adequate support he might be one of tge best left backs of the country by now. I failed to understand what happened to him in that inaugural season of ISL with ATK? Did he not perform well?
