Off-late kyrgyzstan & Tajikistan are good.. But kyrgyzstan & Tajikistan not good during 2006-2013..
also we cannot count Qatar win.. It is unofficial friendly..
2014-2013: kyrgyzstan is good now.. But beating kyrgyzstan and unprepared/Jet-lagged Puerto Rico at Home is not a best feat. May be we can consider Oman game (Draw) in 2018 as one of the best result.
@Nagendra ; That 2018 Oman game happened one week before Asia Cup. Closed door I think. In such games before a big tournament, both sides make sure that there are no injuries. It was played in wrm-up and practice spirit. India 0-0 China was a better result in October 2018.
India-China 0-0 was a big lucky result for us. Football goddess was not rewarding to the Chinese that day. Then again Farukh could have scored at the very fag end of the game.
I agree Qatar & Thailand games are best results for us.but if we take-out everything, we need to consider only FIFA/AFC events.
Even prior to Asian Cup 2011, we played with Kuwait & UAE and we flopped utterly ( 9-1 & 5-0 )..
If we consider beating Kenya(B) & Cameroon (B) at home as best results.. we need to consider these games as well.. With Oman & China, we played away from Home and their line-up has strong players... one week/one month/two months prior to Asian Cup or not shouldn't be a matter.. It is official friendly, need to give due credit..
Again pointless to host a tournament without proper structure in place. We don't have squad to do anything noteworthy. Also in India we know what happens to training facilities and stadiums after hosting.
