Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) spokesperson, Erick Mwanza said the training camp in India, that would comprise mainly locally based players, would accord the coaching bench chance to assess the players before naming his final squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals to be hosted by South Africa next January 19 to February 10.
This whould be a pre pre tornament camp. Thats why only home based players are coming to india. Their forigen based players will be in pre tournament camp which will be held somewhere in africa, most probably in zambia.
When exactly will India play them??any idea..I am hopefull we can beat the reserve squad this time..Zambia will take us more seriously and may play future friendlies/Nehru cups etc with us

Still... better to bring the real African champions.

NO! Never in the Nehru Cup. The Zambian FA would do what Cameroon did and call them the "A" team and we would get no FIFA points.
