I am again saying this - Youth league is a good thing but AUFF should give utmost priority to organizing State leagues and a good, pan India wide spread, robust I-League 2 consisting of at least 25-30 teams (in 1 league) or two leagues (of 18-20 teams each). That will form the wide base and create supply line of domestic talent for I-League and ISL. We have to broad base the football network all across India in order to get good players for NT.
Budget cuts by Governent and Reliance are probably behind this decision.
Instead of solving the Licensing problems which they never defined, they sabotaged the whole project
If they bring a proper youth league then I’m in because all Arrows did was cycle the same set of players for almost everything irrespective of their performance
They should have a proper plan in place before banning Arrows.
When is the proposed youth league starting ? Which clubs, franchise will participate ? what is the funding model ? Structure of the league. Until they put such plan in action, Arrows should have continued

For I-league 2 and baby leagues even if they don't go Pan India it is fine. It is expensive and I don't think currently it is feasible. But I agree on state association holding a league. Even if it 4-5 associations. Fund them better. Improve scouting there. But killing arrows without any plan or what so ever seems bad as @munna219777 mentioned. Now even though they are privileged or untouched we had a crop of players playing regularly. Now I feel without a plan we have regressed.
As much as I hate FSDL bullying the federation. I at least welcome Stimac's opinion about not having foreigners in I-league. The quality will suffer big time. But that is the only way we can improve. Our current crop has hyped up so many players. Our forward line is so weak, we had to rely on strikers who don't even play on club level. I-league and Baby league should be all Indian. Now all clubs can have a retrospect and decide if they want to continue or not. They can choose to do any of the below.
There are still players playing at 100-200k USD in I-league. If they want to continue. I hope they do use these funds effectively to improve their coaching, scouting and academy infra
DISBAND NOW minimize the losses. I support I-league clubs if they disband now. They have nothing to play for. No revenue from AIFF/FSDL, broadcast, AFC slot an much more. How does AIFF think I-league clubs can survive. Kalyan has been a huge disappointment already. The fact he is not even thinking about I-league clubs is very very worrying. Because ISL clubs though lose money it's peanuts for their owners. I-League clubs on the other hand mostly is eating up the money of their owners.
@goalkeepar As much like, I would have preferred I-League to be the main stay. It is now at a point beyond repair the way AIFF and FSDL are hell bent on ruining Indian football. ISL right now brings better foreign players than I-League. Though the last 2 seasons the I-league has done well on signings. But without the support of no federation or backing. I-league has to make that sacrifice unfortunately. If you compare H2H the foreign signings. Overall ISL wins and is trending in right direction there. One of these leagues has to let go and allow more Indians to play. Stimac is right there. We cannot allow a 72 player pool as a source to pick the 23 member squad each time. If I-league becomes the culprit. Then Stimac should take better players from I-league to the national squad. He has not done that so far.
This is bad comment. Ileague clubs should disband their teams if true. What's the point? I was getting a good vibe but with this comment he just ruined everything.
Thats the intent. FSDL WOULD NOT let clubs like MSC and CB anywhere close to ISL. If the roadmap is implemented, they will be debarred citing techincal aspects for eg licensing, financials, etc.
Why put the responsibility of making the player's pool bigger on the I-League club's heads ?? More clubs more players...bigger player pool... for more clubs, you need an open competition..!!
//ISL Clubs losing 22 crores a year ..!! Can I-League clubs do that ??// Isn't it their fault that ISL has such a loss-making business model ??
There is no need to remove all the foreign players from I league. Instead limiting the number of foreign players to 3 in the lineup would be good. In the vietnam league, they limited the foreign players to 2, then they changed it to three later. Presence of foreign players helps in the development of players.
There is very less common sense in Indian football fraternity. When they started ileague they closed down all other tournaments like federation cup, durand , made ranji trophy nominal etc, then they came with isl and de prioritised ileague, now they will revive all old tournaments, reduce ileague without foreigners etc. When will they realise indian football needs an amalgamation of all these in a proper footballing calenders to be a threat at asian level, of course including youth leagues and development
