1) 5+1 rule. If it is implemented in ISL, number of Indian players on the pitch would be 4 if we exclude goalkeeper as most of them are Indian goalkeepers. Plus, quality of foreign players may degrade due to salary cap. Transfer market along with player salary may inflate.
2) Financial distribution, most of the money would go to Champions league teams.
Idea of 24 clubs in AFC Champions league will certainly impact the football nations like India, Tajikistan, Malayasia etc as only top 6 MA's from each region will get direct entry in Champions league.
Due to expansion (40 clubs), we saw FC Goa in 2021 & Mumbai City in 2022. FC Goa could be able to fetch 3 points and Mumbai bettered by winning 7 points. Maybe 2023-24 season would be last Champions league event where we can see Indian club.
Currently 80 clubs are participating if we exclude qualifiers, 40 in champions league & 40 in AFC cup. With new format, only 76 clubs will be participating with reduction of 4 clubs, 24 in Champions league, 32 in AFC cup & 20 in third event.
Indian clubs dont belong in ACL as of now. Clubs should earn their place and not get it gifted to them by AFC.
Doesn't matter. The more and more weaker opponents play against the best, overall improvement for the continent will be there. Dont have to go far, see the world cup. I dont like like AFC who only thinks about top 6, while FiFa is even extending the world cup to 48 teams
With new format (24 champions league , 32 AFC Cup & 20 Third tier ): Considering our MA ranking, atleast for season 2023-24, we might be getting 3 slots 1 AFC Champions League play-off/qualifiers slot 1 AFC Cup group stage slot & 1 AFC Cup play-off/qualifiers slot
3rd tier mostly for nations like Afghanistan, Cambodia & Nepal. We might be playing in 3rd tier if Indian club fail to reach AFC cup reach group stage via qualifiers.
Also, it would be better if 5+1 foreign rule applicable only to Champions league For AFC cup, 4+1 rule is fine and 3+1 for 3rd tier.
I want a 5 + 1 system, I am paying money to watch my club and I want to see quality football. Stupidity wont hide AIFFs failures, clubs need to survive and by playing 7 Indians in the XI clubs cant get eyeballs. ISL should follow EPL path, selection should only be based on merit and not some stupid quota. If players will be good enough, they will make it to first XI otherwise not.

The best thing to do will be to increase teams to 16 or 18 and then foreigners to 5+1
What roadmap. What is this shit again? What happened to 'Laksya'? AIFF accepted that, no? If anything, they should constitute a committee and check how much it was followed, if not much, then why and suggest corrections for any deviation that has happened. A Master Plan is not a joke.

Roadmap is just a gimmick for every new lobby that takes power in AIFF.
They'll show it to people for next 5 years telling they are working on making things great the forget about it and hold power untill court removes them again

Indian football's strategic roadmap will be presented on January 7, confirms AIFF

There is no TV rights money for clubs and each lose 20-40 crore every year
Other is the ISL clubs don't want / support an expansion. Clubs also voted against a longer league were they would have played each other 3 times
