There are so many good young coaches that can be poached for 100k USD. Stimac was on 300k. With the saved money we can have two more Indian youth coaches, set piece coach, analyst, physio and an Indian sporting director and still save money.
I hope we first select a Sporting director, then think about hiring a coach. AIFF can be scammed by any coach. I don't trust the effectiveness of the AIFF technical committee as well. Someone like I.M Vijayan can share his opinions but I won't trust these guys to find me the best coach. We need to have a guy with a vision driving things. Kalyan and co should just focus on running admin stuff.
I would like an Indian sporting director any day, someone who will care and work for the betterment of our country. Foreign guys hardly will give a damn and will be least bothered to do anything with AIFF hypocrisy. We don't need a roadmap or plan 2040. We just need someone who will enforce and make things happen on ground level.

Since it is a Home game, it is good chance for E.B to defeat them & qualify for final round which in-turn will improve exposure of E.B players + our MA ranking due to possibility of additional points from group stage.

I have lost all the respect I have on Stimac. This guy never once admitted his mistakes in his 5 year tenure. And if he actually was an Indian like he claims in Social Media. Why did he never speak up in this 5 year time about all these issues? Like getting paid was his priority. Once he lost his job, he needed the remaining money. I was wrong about shi pay, apparently after extension, He is on 40k per month. That is 480k$USD per year. This guys stoops to low life level claiming AIFF is the reason for his heart attack. This guys never once spoke about FSDL, Picked squad as per their wish. Now once he lost the job he is doing all this drama. I can never trust such guys. A good leader takes blame when sometimes they fail. He got the 4 week camp and everything he asked for and we still lost. He deserves the sack, and refusing the 3 month severance shows how low level this guy is. The typical severance as per the clause(if Shaji did his work) was 1 month pay. But this offer by AIFF for three months severance is way too generous(even by European standards). Because of Shaji's stupidity the nation suffers. And this guys was making so much money, for doing what I am not sure
Though Coach enjoyed full salary even during COVID, coach & AIFF were in good terms before Asian Cup since we were winning & playing with right attitude. President & coach were meeting regularly.
But things got changed after Asian cup. We have lost all 3 games without scoring a goal + those 2 Afghan games.. Somehow, AIFF is ready to sack him and they might have thought paying 40K USD/month for these kind of results is not worthy.
Since, AIFF fulfilled most of his demands, as giridharan said, he shouldn't start allegations now after losing his job. Who would get remaining contract money while getting axed ? Its good, we are moving-on.
