@arsenalfan700 Yes I agree that the production is whack, graphics are not modern, and the commercials but it surely does give that old flavor that takes it and me back to the late 90's. The same music or sound too.
Ok they are not modern but they atleast cover all major sporting events where India participates, olympics, commonwealth games, etc. My point is if other channels cannot cover India friendlies in India, why not give that rights to DD? Atleast it would get viewers attention in the villages, where more than 50% watch DD among those watching tv channels.
Ya but that would really only benefit you and not Indian football. We need to focus on who our target market is which is a brand new younger generation who are actually interested in football. People under the age of 25 are what Indian football needs at the moment (look at this forum as an example). We need a modern platform to show Indian football. Now while TEN Action + is not exactly doing that but they are way better than DD Sports.
Right but when we got no options we can go for DD. Did Ten Action telecast the recent 2 friendlies India played? You were talking about our target market, totally agree with you, do you think ten action can cover most of the people under 25? There are a lot of people under your target audience who don't watch football or don't even know what football is, where is that target audience, majority, in villages. It's not USA town where they have tv or even if they have, they get to watch ten action. How did cricket spread into rural areas or states where no players came out from unknown araes? Well recently, how? TV channels played an important factor, which ones, DD is one.
Therefore, there is nothing wrong showing football through DD when Ten action, purely business, money, no returns, hence don't telecast.
Ten action will not show any India game-thats the problem. They will make some excuse for coming Federation Cup also. I agree that DD sports has poor quality but what is the quality when there is no telecast from Ten Action??? Something is better then nothing.
i think AIFF sugest two great think...if that happen indian footbal become more attractive,...that too overturnd by clubs .. 1)federation cup play like fa cup model 2)i league division 2 play in home and away format...thease are better than now

Don't know if anything changed after this.
