    don't be surprised.
    Translation of WIm's statement...

AIFF is broke, we can't afford to invite big teams , coz their hotel, travel and other requirements are too much for us. They also demand a certain appearance amount , which they can get from playing countries whose FA isn't as broke as AIFF

The reason why we don't play anything from May-September is because terrible summer heat(Average Temp is around 45 C) and then Monsoon we all know what happens to the grass then.

There is also something called gate money-earned by selling tickets to spectators. just imagine an International match at Mallapuram, Kerala. One can easily sell 20000 tickets at 50 rupees price. thats 10 Lakh rupees. One can use that 10 lakh rupees for air travel tickets, Hotel etc.

Well they go a long way. Teams fly Economy Class. I imagined three scenario:-

    1) Malaysia team flying from Kuala Lumpur to Calcutta for friendly game by Air Asia. 30 return tickets cost around 5 lakh rupees.

    2) Oman team flying from Muscat to Kochi by Jet Airways. 30 return tickets 6.5 lakh rupees, Air India even cheaper.

    3) Turkmenistan team flying 30 members return ticket from Ashgabat to Delhi. 8 Lakh rupees. Turkmenistan airlines.

You can verify it from Kayak and websites of airlines. Tickets are booked atleast 2-3 weeks in advance.
Even AFC give 20000 dollars subsidy for their club games and teams have to travel far off places. I think that it is a complete lie that a) AIFF dont have money as ticket prices will give them money b) 10 lakh rupees not eneough for air tickets as I have showed otherwise. We are not flying team from Uruguay. Asian countries tickets is not that expensive.
