IMG wont be giving up on I league so easily. Maybe they will run ISL but wont completely eliminate I- League. AIFF will keep on running I league with the minimum possible teams and time frame in future. We can say that better clubs will be given option to join ISL and I league may sadly become a second strung league in India.
This is a very good news for Indian football team. They should have more such friendly matches against stronger teams in Asia. After this friendly match how about friendly matches against Qatar, Iraq or China before I-league or fed starts?
