This is why IMG-Reliance opted for a separate league, away from the stupidity of I-League and Indian football. Both sides have valid points but the AIFF dug themselves into this deep, deep hole.
This is perfectly legit. The rule is explained wrongly. Elvis Gomes is right, Goa is a state, not a city. So the '3 from a city' rule does not apply here. Does AIFF have a rule capping the max number of teams from a state association?
Mumbai FC can play in Pune instead of Mumbai and then AIFF has no problem. But any club opposing ISL like Churchill Brothers, Rangdajied, Mohammedan Sporting is removed. What guidelines or AFC Criteria or professionalism is shown by ISL franchises? Delhi Thok Denge? FC Pune City FC? Goa Dolphins or Bishops? Application of rules means punish those who are against ISL?
