Difference is Air India and ONGC are Govt companies...therefore a lot of red tape....takes ages to make changes and privatise the Club aspect ( AFC criteria) JSW, Kalyani...Salgaocar, Dempo etc are all private ...so a lot easier....
This concept of PVT companies is common universally
ONGC were sarkari. So are Air India. Very slow with whatever they wanted to do. Right from the thoughts to the actions was slow. On the other hands, these clubs that we have now are privately owned. And I don't find anything wrong in that. No single man can ever own a club. Its only the corporate that can.
Can anyone technically explain what Institutional club is??
"No single man can own a club". Hmmm. Well i think we know that such a club exists and had been at top of Indian football for last 10 years atleast as far as league standings.
2nd Division looks stacked towards a team from Mizoram :
The eight participating Clubs are Aizawl FC, Chanmari FC, United Sports Club, Mohammedan Sporting, PIFA Sports, Kenkre Sports, Hindustan FC and Lonestar Kashmir FC.
Knowing AIFF they will scupper the Kolkata teams , probably put them in same group ... or say we can't have another team from Kolkata
Rangdajied United and Churchill Brothers did not get chance to participate in 2nd Division? No Sikkim United, Vasco SC? On what basis they selected these 8 teams?
