All these news about doldrums in MB are planted news because of the impending election as @Eastbengalpride has rightly pointed out. TOI is the best vehicle for this. To display their neutral stance, Ei Samay (a group paper of TOI) published this just yesterday:
saying that a decision has been reached between USL and MB, and the sponsor will release the held up fund.So the financial problem will be solved partially (AIFF and other fund are still due). So naysayers need not rejoice prematurely or show unnecessary concern ...
In other development, ATM and ATK relationship is souring, with ATK taking independent decisions without keeping ATM in the loop. Significantly (but not surprisingly), company formation is still not done. ATM does not like ouster of Garcia and Habas. Nobody knows if Fikru is in or out. ATK owners are keeping on dropping names which are beyond their capacity (Kaka, Forlan, so on).
Are we staring at dissolution of this franchisee? and induction of some other team(s) from Kolkata?
Fc pune is a flop so is bharat fc.. mumbai fc and mumbai city can merge shouldnt be much issue as neither clubs have that established as kolkatta clubs..
