Stephen Constantine should start watching I-League matches first before he starts advising the Fed about scrapping tournaments. Fed Cup format should be changed but scrapping it is ridiculous!
@Gaffertape How does AIFF plan to circumvent the FIFA rule about having a cup tournament? Or hang on, ISL would be the Cup tournament, isnt it?
Wow!! Just try and understand this. We aren't killing of a prestigious tournament. Fed cup is almost dead. You cannot afford cup competitions which gives nothing but a loss and spoils ur schedule. It's just plain business.
How is fed cup scraping which saves costs for the Aiff and killing kolkatta football linked? Down right amazing thoughts.
BTW note that they are trying to link the one thing which was direly missing in Indian football. Linking the state league's and the I-league 2 which was a long time requirement. Love the plan on paper it's the execution that matters.
Stephen doesn't want so scrap Federation Cup. Tomorrow Stephen will be kicked out....Mr. X comes and he wouldn't want I-League, so scrap it Finally Mr. X will be kicked out and Mr. Z will come, he wouldn't want ISL...... then Prafool will come charging at him with his all his teeth & nails exposed. What a scene !
How many domestic matches Stephen has seen since he started his 2nd. innings ? But we can see him in ISL, smartly suited - booted to see the foreign players, so that he can chose his Indian squad.
Which quite frankly is ridiculous! I am still not fully on board with ISL, there are a lot of things that need to be done to fully convince me that they are the future but all this doom and gloom stuff and evil cutting business that I read on IFN is way to overblown at this point.
I don't know how to word this so I will say it like this: When you want to move into a more modern and/or "richer" future in football you will need to see some things happen, a lot of which will require some things going away such as the Federation Cup which should not come as a surprise.
Also, is there really a domestic cup rule? Australia did not even have a cup competition till last season. I would rather develop the state leagues before starting a domestic cup.

Seems u guys want all those 400 million fans who watch and Support ISL kicked out and remain probably the only fans
Many even have even seen the future telling ISL is taking India to rock bottom in football
We will become like tibet or NMI
World Cup winners Germany stay on top, with moves for Belgium & Brazil as well as World Cup qualifying heroes Bhutan.
