@souravindia WELL SAID MATE! This is what should happen. You said we have kids who play till 18/19 and then have to give it up, well, lets give the best ones the chance to prove their metal at the next level.
For a Semi-pro State league, players can be selected from the town where the club is based.Matches are played on Sundays only. Players who have jobs in the town can play for their clubs on weekends. Unlike I league, players dont have to travel much for a state league. Also playing becomes an additional income for the player along with their job.
In Ideal situation for any footballing nation State leagues should be bearers of promoting the game to the masses, which creates appeal to young lads of rural india(out of social mediums lk even TV). Not the other way around like ISL..in all entirety will bring more eyeballs and creates tamsha to only niche market of Indians who follow football in general(except in few states)...As paradoxical India stands even State Leagues also filled with clowns just like AIFF lumped up to. Administration of any sports need to be in the hands of Professionals not Professional manipulators called Politicians and there Bhajan Mandali hawkers. When that happens in India now that's Indian footbal NEWs update!
To be fair, I remember when people called for Baichung and co. to get into the hot seats of the AIFF instead of these politicians... has not really worked out at all.
Also, the President of the English FA is Prince William.
