The Anglo-American Cup will need to be played during the off-season in majority of the Europe, if it needs to be introduced soon. If it is 10 years or so from now, the break-away league that will be happening in Europe might include this as a small side by side cup competition I suppose.
@DX ; @deepakc ; This Bank Guarantee Rule is only if the club owners are not a High Net Worth Corporates. So This Kalyani Bharat FC or Bengaluru FC did not furnish any Bank Guarantee because they are rich businessman. DSK will also not give Bank Guarantee.
Can any member provide the AIFF Calendar for other tournements like Durand Cup, Bordoloi Trophy, Kalinga Cup, Sikkim Gold Cup etc.etc ? Or these tournements will be conducted as per convenience of the local associations ? Already IFA Shield has been converted in to a joke... hope other tournaments don't go the same way. Heard sometimes back that Rovers Cup would be revived... is it just a bluff ?
But the slot for the tournament has anything to do with AIFF or it is totally individual association's business to conduct or not conduct the tournament at their convenience ?
So only Santosh Trophy and I-League are in the calendar of AIFF as far as Senior Domestic tournaments are concerned. The 3rd. one i.e. the Federation Cup has already been killed and cremated.
Unlike other sports, there is very little probability of break-out administrative bodies. Right from the FIFA upto the district association, the incentive schemes is meticulously laid out to keep everyone happy
