I thought BFC was eagerly pursuing ISL Bangalore franchise. If yes, i would prefer BFC over ozone team in ISL solely because of continuity and building the solid footballing culture for future.
Moreover, if ISL and I-league mergers in latter years, then it will be suicidal for both the teams. Bangalore still not mature enough for two teams. Not atleast in 10-15 years time.
I agree @redevil87....thts why PP statements about ozone grp is pure hogwash....for all we know he might have been trying to get his cut on the kanteerava stadium deal and had been dangling a carrot to ozone in return.....
@ArsenalFan700 Cant see them starting I-League team at SreeKanthareeva Stadium while simultaneously building Bangalore Football stadium. BFC will just watch them?? It takes years and years to build stadium in India. Once they build the stadium, then they can have their team but by that time ISL will not survive. :P
First off, that is just your opinion that ISL can not survive... if NFL/I-League can live for 20 years then ISL can as well.
Secondly, I meant they can start the ISL team in the Sree Kanthareeva Stadium... what is stopping them? Bengaluru FC? They can negotiate or whatever, either way, it can happen while the other place is being done and actually could be used to really bang up the team: "Oh look, we are a brand new team!" Then a few years later when the shine has worn off: "Oh look, we have a brand new football stadium!"
