Nehru Cup in Knock-Out format will be disastrous. India might play only one match then and maybe one more for 3rd-4th place. The Round Robin League was a good format as more teams can be called India was assured to play atleast 4 matches. The main idea behind Nehru Cup was to bring superior teams to India. Argentina, Uruguay, italy have graced Nehru Cup. Well this new avatar from 2007 had mediocre teams like Syria. Now they are talking about 120 to 140 ranked teams. I agree that no superior team in today busy calendar would like to come to India for this tournament. Hopefully they can make atleast 7-8 team tournament. Dont invite Maldives, Bangladesh , nepal and make it SAFF again. Atleast teams of the level of Oman or Vietnam should be invited.
Interesting note: Not a single player from Mumbai FC!! And only a single player from Aizawl FC. However, 2 players from Dempo (Vinit and Holicharan, midfielder)

I'm hearing AIFF ( headed by P.P ) targeting top 120 in FIFA rankings in next 5 years... Is this news true ??
I still remember P.P saying few years back that we are target top 100 in FIFA and also to qualify regularly AFC Asia Cup.
Wow... it came down 20 places... may be after 2 years... P.P may say we will target for top 150 by 2020...
Champions Cup will be played in knock-out format... mostly this tournament will be played at the end of August and beginning of September...
As ArsenalFan700 said, hope they are planning for 4 team tournament which will accommodate FIFA calendar ...
