Pailan closing has more to do with IMG-R than meets the eye...<div>IMG_R not willing to fund as much of Pailan as they initially pretended they would... this has meant that having the team is unfeasible as no one to pick up the tab.</div><div><br></div><div>Yet the players are being loaned out to clubs .... Clubs names were seen assigned next to players names ( from Pailan roster)...</div><div>Looks like back room deals with Pailan staff and some Kolkata clubs !!</div><div><br></div><div>The proposed LOAN agreements will allow "Pailan " players to play for an I-League club from now until January and then they would return to "Pailan" .... then they would be "allowed" to play for IMG-Reliance league !!</div><div><br></div><div>After the IMG-R league they could enforce a technicality and allow the players to return to their former I-League club for the latter part of the season...</div><div><br></div><div>As "Pailan" wont exist , under FIFA rules those players would be free agents, and if I've read correctly , they could even use this scenario to count as an "exception" and thus play for 3 clubs in 1 season .</div><div><br></div><div>Indian football at its best.... well done Bhaichung... as FPAI President..... way to stick up for the young Indian footballers and ensure they aren't treated as a servant who is being past from pillar to post...{ work here for a few months , then when they go on holiday go & help out at this spot....}</div><div><br></div><div>I think we have now hit rock bottom , and the only way is up from here..</div>
This is disgusting....knowing a few of these players as friends, I know how much these players are under uncertainty...first of all most players without any other source of guidance are not practical, prone to making mistakes...then there fates are being changed everytime there is a changed decision, and in this case there has been a new pailan rumor every 15 days...

May be it would force Karim to play Shankar Oraon or Sabeeth regularly and with Odafa having no ego clash with either of them, it could be a blessing in disguise and we may discover a decent Indian Striker as the season progresses. With a strong Defence & Midfield, this year's Mohun Bagan will be a different proposition. If we get Souvik & Preetam then things could be even better. </font><br>
