Team Selection is in the hands of Coach. I feel that this was not the best playing XI. Persisting with Sandip Nandy, Raju, Gouramangi after Palestine loss, AFC qualifiers loss and now this Tajikistan. Bob was a little better in Team selection.<br>

<div><br></div><div>Dont exactly agree with that post there buddy, Bob went after reputation and not current form, It was his luck that chettri had his best years up front with gourmangi & subrata with nabi playing well, but his brand of football was seriously killing our skills. Indians are not good at the long ball game, Period. </div><div><br></div><div>Wim on the other hand so far hasnt selected his team based on reputation, Its the current form he looks at, Nandy though sucked at goal in that friendly against palestine, deserved another game cos quite frankly he was the best goalkeeper in the I-league. He had no other option but to play gourmangi cos he didnt have options there. He sets the team up to play the right way, Keep the ball on the floor. Quite frankly i dont mind losing a few more friendlies against better opposition as long as we get our indian style of play for the future. </div>
How do you know he plays the ball on the ground? The only time we have all actually seen this team play was during the Nehru Cup and that one game during the AFC Challenge Cup and the Palestine matches. These players can never play the style you guys are talking about.
