"Attendance during the match was also very low and the match was momentarily stopped when a dog ran onto the pitch" Was this really necessary , i mean who in their right mind would come to watch a football match played b/w Srilanka and Nepal ? Dogs, monkeys, snakes -this happens every now and then even in other countries ,why give it a mention ?
I had the U15 league deleted, well, actually I nominated and then when it came to voting the majority of other football editors agreed. The reason is that wikipedia, at the end of the day, is not a football stats website, it's an online encyclopedia. The U15 league is interesting but none of the players in the league are notable enough for an article and so are none of the teams so there is no reason to have a page for it. There is no page for the Premier League U16 league, for example.
As for the dog thing, that was me again but I will remove it if you want. I just put down what was in the article and sourced it.
So, dealing with this idiot, who never edits football articles but only Olympic articles (and even then, no big nations), who is nominating the article for the SAFF Championship final for deletion.
I have done some edits in indian football pages before....Sorry if I did anything wrong....i was unaware of this thread.... I will try to be active here and wiki in future...
