In ILeague 2015-16 page...salgaocar afc player shown as Cameroon player....how can a cameroon player become afc player....google search shown him as australian...so edited as australian..!!!
@athi_bheekaran There is a concept of Multiple Citizenship or Dual Nationality. A player can have multiple passports but will play for one. Messi has Spain Passport as well as Argentina. India do not allow dual citizenship but most advanced countries do.
I like to believe he knows that but just had a question about the foreign players table which rule states that whatever FIFA nation the player is eligible for, that is the flag you use. Since Cavin was born in Cameroon and has never played internationally, the flag should be Cameroon HOWEVER since he is playing in India because of his Australian passport, under the AFC player, then you use the Australian flag.
It is like with Kayne Vincent who had a New Zealand flag but sometimes should have had a Japanese flag as he was considered the Asian player.
The nationality where he plays National Team setup should be used. If the said player acquires nationality of say countries like Australia so that he can qualify as AFC quota, then Australia should be used. It depends on case to case basis as where the player has registered.
