What the hell! why is imgr poking its nose in the internal matters of a franchise? I understand they are pissed that BFC didnt allow their players to play ISL and IMGR do have a reputation of playing dirty but they are setting new standards. (ps not just this but overall)

Ya, this is not a good development at all and just makes IMG-Reliance look bad.

Also this is what happens when the league is owned and operated by a bloody company.

Guys, no one will be anti ISL if its genuine enough to uplift indian football or atleast make it a major sport with Pan indian presense.

The issue is quite simple, ISL is built to be marketing for publicity and is a ripe bed of money launderers. I see the same behaviour for some of the folks here who are tilting towards ISL to what we had in commonwealth games.

First it was the excuse that India needed to host a major games so criticism was brushed aside,
Second was the fraud which happened when questioning the rising cost, you were deemed anti national,
Third after the games when fraud was being exposed & questioned the CWG being held in india, you were again deemed anti national as india won a record number of medals

I can assure you the next excuse of the ISL failing to produce Indian talent will be that atleast proper footballing players could come and play in india.
We will have Income tax raids & the whole sham will be exposed i assure you. The  bigwigs will escape & spread to another sport or cricket while the smaller ones get caught and we will be worse than were we are.
Not predicting but thats what will happen. Indian football doesnt need an ISL to solve problems, It needs to understand the root cause, It will be just as simple as putting a couple of goal posts and ball in each school as well as in the mind of parents & teachers alike.

    I like Isl marquees though

    They ain't 40 years old
3 marquee playing in Argentine mexican legue and la liga

A player who played more minutes than David Villa in Spain's world cup triumph

    An athletico Madrid legend

A guy who has more than 150 goals for
    Juventus

What about Mikeal Silvestre @gaffertape doesn't any club want him

The problem with ISL is not really the owners. Atletico de Kolkata for example seem to actually care and want to build a fan base (perhaps for Madrid's benefit but regardless). The problem is IMG-Reliance. They run the whole show, they make the rules, and they decide what happens.

This is not how a football league, with the goal of improving football in India, should run. We need a league that is ran independently which has a say from all the owners involved but that seems almost impossible with IMG-Reliance running the show.
