These players are no more than performers for us. They will play and fill their pockets. But, isn't that part of the business. Football is a business in the end. Can't deny that. If the ISL generates profit and invests it properly, it will only benefit Indian football. I'm sure you are skeptical about this development, but let's just hope for the best. Money has to be pumped in to generate revenue. I-League clubs would have been no attractive option given that the money was invested in it. It is always better to start afresh. Attract eye balls and do things in a better way. FIRST IMPRESSION IS THE LAST IMPRESSION. I-League first impression was not good. And, what I believe is that, what is gone is buried and covered with sand for the time to come.
moreover i league is still there. leave isl. grassroot programme, youth teams what are these for? if they are not helping indian football then i league also didn't help a bit. before i league era india was saff lions after so many years of i league we are unable to beat bangladesh. loosing to pakistan. what kind of improvement done by i league???
show me improvements done by i league????if improvement depend solely upon national league then we should have ruled saff and should have won saff title each and every single year. what i league have done???
Dude stop comparison between them, I'm not asking what I-League did and what ISL is doing. I want to know what will happen after ISL. What kind of business your talking about ?? I-League is a failed product etc is all know to everyone.
As a Indian football well-wisher what am I getting here ?? I dont care if Del Peiro earns money but not at the cost of Indian football. All this media and crap will be after Indian football till ISL runs.
How long will I-League will continue be run like this ??? This will not help the national team in anyway sorry.
I-League is not helping everyone knows about this. But, whether ISL will help or not is not for us to decide. ONly time will tell if it will be successful and helps us in long run. We can comment on the future of Indian football
So some people think fake ISL fans will support Indian national Football in future ? Sorry guys but let me tell you when these guys will watch Bimal Gharti Magar of Nepal and Kaleemullah of Pak beating the hell out of us they will run away. They will again come back during ISL so will Varun Dhawan, IMG Reliance paid media and Del Peiro.
Guys!! People are excited and thats that. Bottom line how this will help Indian football still remains to be seen and is still an open debate.
I still firmly believe the talk of grass root level development is still BS. I mean even before the tournament has actually started they are talking about when they will break even.
Football isnt about a business model its a passion, Very few clubs in the world actually make a decent profit.
Frankly what you get with Reliance is They get to show AIFF how it should be done to market something but at the same time they are also in it for the money not for long term win-wins.
As far as Chennai fans is concerned you got to excuse us. We were in Football wilderness given second hand treatment and finally we are getting some hype. Whats wrong with that? Am sure Chennai will once again show they mean business to be the best now with ISL as well apart from IPL.
