Personally I feel we dont need ISL in Indian football, its a flawed concept and is nothing but a money recovery Scheme by IMG- Reliance to recoup its 700 cr investment ( Indian football be dammmed, money recovered comes first).
now AIFF has its hands tied having given the keys of the house to Reliance, so beggars cant be choosers . AIFF have no choice but to play along and hope something good happens of this. All this has aldready been debated here and no point repeating.
I totally agree with your statement.. SO WE HAVE NO OTHER WAY EXCEPT ACCEPTING THE FACT THAT ISL IS HAPPENING, this is all that the genuine discerning Indian football fans can do:
SO BETTER TO FIND THE POSITIVE THINGS. ....I definitely dont find ISL positive at all , except the Media publicity that this circus is getting us..all of us can only fervently hope or imagine that some " good " will happen of this and put up a positive spin to the story.
anyways as a analogy , I dont find anything positive about a patient dying, but i can only HOPE the patient remains alive and survives to fight another day..
What will they do if average Spectator attendance for ISL games is even less then I-League games??? we should remember that I-League got a boost due to MB, EB, Md Sporting and Shillong Lajong fans. by contrast how many fans do ISL have???Low attendance means ISL is further failure.
@mohammed_87hassan, since you are asking ... I am not interested Messi (in Indian context), I said IF I am interested in Messi, I would go to You Tube. And though I am not bound to give reasons why I visit some thread, my answer is "... for the love of the Blue Tigers ...".
I try to get into any issue that has impacts on them. ISL will affect them adversely.
No. I-league not doing wonders for Indian football, of course. I did not even say that (and I wont get into the debate again). I was only justifying my visits to the ISL page, as you inquired. And my justification is in the above post.
I may be wrong. Even a flawed concept like ISL should be given a chance to prove that. Let us wait till the first two seasons. Who knows ...
