Nowadays I wait daily eagerly at 6:30 pm for ISL to start. Once this edition of ISL is over, will have to wait for more than one year for next edition.
@Sam Okay, I can understand that. Just give it time... hopefully the Indian referees will become better over time... its a long process.
@jitug1979 Really mate? What about the i-League or Federation Cup? At least follow these tournaments and view the highlights. These competitions are where you are going to see the future Indian youth players of tomorrow.
jithug man don't underestimate our national league. it has got ppotential. if you watch you can certainly see some matches are worth to watch. more indians in action. if you love indian football then surely you will love every tournament and leagues. mind you bro ISL STILL OUR PROMOTIONAL TOURNAMENT, NOT THE ACTUAL LEAGUE. I LEAGUE IS STILL THE DETERMINANT OF STANDARD OF INDIAN FOOTBALL. ISL short promo and rest the main movie. I'm an isl fan still but also a big fan of fed cup, i league, u19 league. we have got many highly rated players in isl still if our i league clubs loose miserably to mid standard asian sides, we will not progress as a footballing nation ( TRUELY SAID ISL = BIRTH OF A FOOTBALLING NATION, I LEAGUE = NURTURING THAT NEWLY BORN CHILD). It's what i realise after a half season through isl.
Guys I fully agree with your comments. But the type of following ISL has is really stupendous. I was shocked the other day when my office colleagues were discussing ISL by supporting their respective teams. Never before has Indian football been followed and discussed in such a manner. Normally its EPL , La liga or other leagues. Here, People are discussing matches schedule, ticket rates, arranging for tickets etc. I am really happy with this kind of impact on Indian football.
