Now that Atletico de Madrid will give technical support to Kolkata franchise in ISL, they should send their reserve players to play in this inaugural tournament. I am sure these players will someday play for I-league clubs as well.
Not sure if this is the right thread for this but I did find this interesting. Only 2 years ago this same club signed Mandjou Keita from Pune FC as their main striker and now they are getting a Ghana international in his prime who had played in the Bundesliga and did well in the Serbian League only a few years ago.
Well... they have risen the profile a bit. So, Pune FC, your move... or the other Indian clubs.
Former Australia head coach and A-League head coach sacked and now available. Don't expect many A-League clubs to give him an offer and if he was willing to coach PNG then he certainly must be cool with coaching in India.
He is currently playing in the 3rd tier here in the US for the Harrisburg City Islanders. He has started 2 of their matches so far and came off in both. Here is the full video from the sides 2nd match:
So, speaking of big players, how about a former Arsenal youth player.... Luke Freeman. Over 100 caps for his League One side, they are now going to be relegated and I believe his contract is out at the end of the season. I doubt the 4th division would appeal to him so why not India's top tier. He is a winger and aged 22.
