Sinji Ono (Born-27th September, 1979), a Midfield General and played in the 2002 World Cup for Japan, has been released from A-league club Western Sydney Wanderers this month and joined in a J-2 club in Japan. He is an excellent ICON Player for our I-League. I-League clubs should try for him.
Getting a world class player with international standards for i-league would mean clubs would have to invest huge amount of money. I think money is still a major issue here. This is where rich corporates should come forward and start their own I-league clubs taking Bengaluru FC as a reference.
