Are you an idiot? I understand that on this forum I need to be nice but this is just to far... NONE of those guys would ever even come to India. Julio dos Santos is still a pretty regular player in the Paraguayan league and is only 31 years old. Oliveria just came off a good season in Uruguay despite being 36. Jo is only 27 years old and a Brazilian national team player... why the fuck would he ever come to India and Lajour is only 29 and a Moroccan international.
Karim would not even be able to clean Lajours boots!!!
A-League has the money to do so as well as the scouting system (based on scouts and coaches). We don't have that in India. Also the A-League is pretty respected from some quarters so that helps.
Rio ferdinand has been relased by utd. If u remeber in 2010, on the proposed indian, pak, bangladesh football tour in england which later got cancelled he said. "i look foward to see myself in these countries one day".
@indian_gooner Rio Ferdinand playing in India as a centre-back defender would be good for Indian football. But money is a hindrance. You need money in million dollars to get such a player in India.
Rio already has offers in the Premier League, Championship, and MLS and who knows where else... why would he ever give ISL or I-League the time of day.
