@Ashlesh Please don't say much about our grandsons watching India qualify for World Cup. This is so demoralizing for present Indian football fans. Blame AIFF for sleeping and doing nothing. Even a small country such as Switzerland or Croatia would play in FIFA World Cup.

Okay I do believe that countries such as Thailand, Vietnam or Malaysia are doing better than India in terms of development of football. But surely there must be some way for Indian football to improve a little bit faster. What do you think this U-16 Kalyani team would have done before playing in this championship?

Just so people understand... Canada only has 5 professional teams. Yes, they to never make the World Cup but they are probably on the same level of Australia and currently their youth academies at these 5 professional teams are doing wonders for them. Of course they have other non-professional academies... hundreds really but just because we lack 20-30 Academies does not matter.

One Academy in Kolkata. One in Pune. One in Mumbai. One in Bangalore. One in Goa. One in Delhi. One in Punjab. One in Kerala. One in the Meghalaya. One in Mizoram. All of them professional full-time academies. That would work perfectly (Note: Not suggesting this, just saying it would work).

Again, you see new teams like Bengaluru FC spring up... they will slowly start turning heads. Don't worry and give up hope... if you do then I don't want to see you on this forum.
