With our current form any team be it Japan, Korea, Aussie, Iran or any other team from the remaining 19 is going tear us into shards and pieces. They will dig our Graves and bury us in the pitch itself. So what is this unnecessary talk all about? I would rather advise you all to be prepared with first-aid box.

I still remember the diving header (unnecessary) from Jhingan against Iran.

Maybe we need to practice those things more.

I also can see us being the slowest counter attacking side as well. So slow defense, poor counterattackers, non existent midfield. We are gonna be battered.

But atleast we will know our level and start properly after 2019 again under a new philosophy.

Last time (2011) nobody gave us any chance but we scored 3 goals I think and dominated Bahrain in patches. Many international commentators observed that we did well.
I am confident that we will do better then what we did in 2011. We should be competitive, I dont care about ultra defensive or Long Ball.

Last time our coach was better, we had good midfield

this time we somehow lost to respectable margin to likes of Turkmenistan & Kyrgyzstan... with worst possible midfielders... if things remains same as of today...

i am not seeing us doing any good... if we are lucky we might see Chhetri’s individual brilliance in 1-2 matches and Jhingan diving like crazy whole tournament, after every match we will praise our goalkeeper for respectable score and all that our usuals ...

From Mahesh gawli and Sameer Naik to Jhingan and pritam. The list is endless.

From a  coach who has a European cup final and 7 time swedish league and cup winner to a coach who's claim to fame is winning a silver medal losing to Uzbek u-21 team.

Dont know why you guys critisize Jhingan. He's not perfect but he's the best we have. Tell me another Indian defender having better arial ability and strength then Jhingan.

It's their character, Deepak. Can't help it. When it was 2011 the same people bashed the then India NT for which now they are full of praise words and nostalgia.

The reason for the crib for Jhingan is despite starting early and at a decent standard he has levelled out and not really getting better.

Fact we aren't producing gawli like players is why he has solidified his position.

No one criticizes his heading and setpeice ability but he does get beaten easily for pace. Plus on a side he calls and gets players to call him "Minister of Defense" that's cringeworthy.

2011 team being looked back is not just nostalgic, they were better in most aspects compared to this team.

Subrata and some players were widely appreciated, And most importantly we didn't retreat into a shell we did attack despite letting in 13 goals. Attacking teams like South korea and Bahrain despite being goals down is something this team cannot do.
