sorry to say this.. we don't need Troussier/Schafer who still uses same old tactics + age factor.

Herrera would be good choice.. But his salary would be a concern.
Even Park Hang-seo would be a good choice.. He used to earn excellent salary in Vietnam. Not sure if SAI would approve his salary.

I'm pretty much sure Manolo Marquez will be in final list considering his success in India, dealing with Indian players. On top of it, his salary would be in affordable range + having a age factor.

As mohammed_87hassan said, most of the Ashley Westwood success should go to Reddy & Mandar. But I like how AW deal with top & senior players. He will make them to sit on bench if they are not good to start.

If Manolo Marquez is selected as a coach, definitely GSS place will be on threat.. He is not great in ball distribution & he was not good in decision making now-a-days. Last season, he was poor with both N.T & BFC.

    Petar Segrt is available  .
A coach with proven success with different national teams, most recently with Tajikistan .
Might be the best pick among the lot .

bro, Is Petar Segrt applied for N.T position ? He would be a good choice.. I remember he is successful with all the National teams he coached, be it Afghanistan, Maldives & of course, Tajikistan..

Gss and Jhingan are not the best in their position. GSS was bad against Afganistan and in the Asian Cup it's time Lalchenpa or others take over.

And also finally time some competent coach takes over so players and their agencies can't influence Nt

GSS is super inconsistent and error prone . He's also 32 . It's high time we test some new keepers .

Not sure if this is true, but still posting it:

    https://epaper.sangbadpratidin.in/epaper/m/861360/66982685b0e32

The Bengali daily Pratidin reports that the final shortlist for the NT coach consists of five coaches: Antonio Habas, Manolo Diaz (why of all persons?) and Sanjoy Sen. Former coaches of Odisha FC and NEUFC (their names are not mentioned in the report) round off the list. Although the Executive Committee of the Federation is in favour of appointing a foreign coach, the current financial instability might induce them to go for an Indian coach, at least for the present. If the federation has to bear the whole amount of Stimac's compensation (Stimac is reportedly not agreeing to accept his three months of salary and wants the entirety of his remaining contract value), then they would have to bear a loss to the tune of five to six crores. The federation aims to kill two birds with one stone: salvage their financial crisis by appointing an Indian coach with less salary and send a message that they are encouraging Indian coaches. If indeed an Indian coach is selected, the scales are supposedly weighted in favour of Sanjoy Sen. It is expected that a clearer picture would emerge after the Executive Committee meeting on 20 July.

Not in favour of Sanjoy Sen tbh . Should've considered Clifford / Bibiano / Jamil or even Gawli .

Read somewhere that, as per the new policy, SAI would cover only 30% of football N.T coach salary.
With this change in policy, we can't expect a foreign coach now. But not sure, if it is applicable for current year or not.

These 3 are the best options . I don't want any fancy foreigner.
Habas is a no nonsense man which is required for our NT players to keep with the demanding standards.
I am even ok with the style of football he plays which is not so attractive but bring the required results.
