India needs a breath of fresh air. Armando is tried and honestly I thought he was overrated during his stint. Pereira is also overrated but he would be someone fresh.
I think he looks like a pretty good option, considering his experience at the world cup and with Asian teams. At the end of the day we have to beat middle eastern teams at some point and he seems to know them pretty well.
AIFF is low on funds. Academies are not functioning properly due to lack of funding. The last thing we need is high profile coach with huge salary. Give chance to Indian coach. Derrick Pereira can show better results then Koevarmans.
If we could make him the technical director and also have some help from IMG-Reliance then I can see a justification for van der Lem but as a head coach... hell no! He would be Wim Koevermans 2.0... a coach expected to do wonders with the national team straight away and change our style and then once that does not happen and the results remain rubbish we will disparage him out of here.
There is something bad?? OBviously there will be his own issues, that's why he applied for post. No top guy gonna come here. But, whosoever comes needs to work properly
