Remember if Gaurs want to come here in Sikkim from Goa, then they have to cross so many states and don't forget Chattisgarh and Bihar in there on the way. So, chances of them making to Sikkim is really slim I think.
The western Ghats and adjoining areas are native to the gaurs down south, I am sure they are found in forests of Goa. Up north, they are found in North Bengal's terrai forests which aren't too far away from Sikkim actually @sam
@sam ; Indian Bison is called Gaur. It is found in North East also. This map shows the range in green. Manas National Park in Assam and Bhutan has a healthy population of Gaurs.
