I guess he is the first athlete to win 100 m , 200 m , 4 * 100 m relay & long jump ( that too in single Olympics, 1936 )... Please correct me if I'm wrong..
Seems to be his progress hindered due to cancellation of Olympic games during world war II
Oh, yes...forgot to mention that...but there is also an interesting twist....there is nowadays understandably a lot of hue and cry raised about the status of Dalit men and women... lots of Dalit Studies included in college/university curricula...lots of seminar and conferences on them...in a way, it is good because it raises awareness about one of the most exploited Indian castes, but I have found that some of these often become a PR exercise for some elite group of people/academicians who want to parade themselves as the champion of these communities while their interest and knowledge about Dalits remain tenuous at best....similar with the LGTB community where we often see celebrities supporting their cause only because it gives them publicity while these dis-privileged people continue to wallow in poverty and discrimination...instead of words, what we need is action and quick action so that all underprivileged groups can benefit from them...but of course, you were right: the Dalits are even today severely discriminated against...if the lady had been from some upper caste, I don't think that the hospital would have done such a thing
That old myth of Nazism and Aryan Supremacy is no longer followed, atleast academically. Instead of Race, people now look at Aryans in a linguistic way. In India, people who speak Indo-Aryan Group of languages can be termed as Indo-Aryans. Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi will all come in that Group. Almost 70% of Indian Population.

You are missing an important word here. Dalit. A Dalit man......
who are the actual Aryans... ??
Europeans claims they are original Aryans... Iranians claim they are Aryans..... even Indians in few regions claim they are Aryans...
