The renovation work is still going on. They have demolished the new buildings inside the courtyard. Now they have started work on the main structures.Worrying thing is that the renovation work is being done by the State PWD, who do not have any Conservation Architect in their team, nor do they have any prior experience on this type of work. It can safely be said that the processes are not being followed (It may be mentioned here that countless historical documents were lost or damaged during the hurried shift to Nabanna, the new secretariat).
They have a plan to showcase the old building materials in addition to other historical exhibits. And they will open it to the tourists when complete.
