Subho Mahalaya to all members...could not feel the Puja spirit on Mahalaya for the first time due to tremendous workload at college because of NAAC visit yesterday and today (http://www.naac.gov.in/peerteamvisits.asp)...thank God it will be over today..will be heaving a sigh of relief....could not get a wink of sleep at night for the last two-three days...BP seems to have increased....looking forward to Puja holidays...Happy Durga Puja in advance
Certainly not...just a humble assistant professor....you can't even imagine the stress that the Principal, the NAAC co-ordinators and the senior staff are going through....on top of that, there has been no NAAC visit for the last 10 years...there ought to be one after 5 years...we have had to complete in about 6 months the work that had to be completed in 2-3 years....one hell of an experience!
@munna219777: Not exactly an audit but an inspection of all aspects of a college/university like teaching-learning, research and innovation, infrastructure, student support and progression, governance, leadership and management etc...a report is then prepared by the NAAC Peer team and grading is done which is approved by the UGC...Funds/expansion/affiliation certainly depend on their reports http://www.naac.gov.in/assesment_accreditation.asp...felt great when the chairman of the NAAC team, while mentioning the positives of the college, singled out the Department of English for its innovative teaching methods @shakkeerKM: As @sam said, I teach English, and even more importantly, try to learn English (or any other subject for that matter) in my interaction with my students and colleagues
