BCCI is in turmoil right now. Fight between Srinivasan and Thakur out in Open. by the way IMG-R makes money everywhere- whether it is IPL, CL T20 or ISL!!! Good that CL T20 is scrapped-very poor TRP sisnce big guns of India Cricket retired. Atleast they will not push Indian Football season forward now because of that.
Had alluded to this in a another thread , still doing some more detailed research on this before publishing...
ISL players had no proper pre-season ( strengthening phase ,loading phase etc) & then the hectic games & travelling schedule prevented proper practice ( and also proper maintenance training ) , then thrown into the Fed Cup & then an I-League which were also congested....we have seen a disproportionate number of ACL injuries, some of which might be career threatening...

Assuming each ISL team takes 13 Indians , 2 of which are Goalkeepers, of the remaining 88 players ( hoping they are the top 88 in the country) , can we be happy with 20% suffering serious injuries !!
Add to the attrition rate we spoke about at the U19 I-League level , and its clear to see why we will not progress !!
