Adil Nabi was considered promising, but Tony Pulis, the stereotypical British manager, whose great philosophy of long balls and "roughing up the opposition" with physical play means that no young player from their academy will be getting chances. And yes, Nabi is a British-Pakistani, it was only a matter of time an Asian-origin player broke through in one of the Midlands club, but while he is a prmising player, he had struggled to break through even before Pulis came along.
Nope There British coach has agreed to sign either of 2 current Indian Internationals GKs after discussing with Constantine. Sajiban Gosh and Pram Kumar are the 2 internationals running for KBFC job.
Adil Nabi is a very very good signing by Delhi and a statement made by the league..Youngesters from top clubs coming on loan to ISL could be the trend in coming seasons.. This guy is on the verge of breaking into the first team..Voted the best young player of the club in last season..He's played 70 times for WBA U-21 & scored 23 goals and with 12 assists..Has also been on the bench twice in EPL last season & once in League Cup..Awarded a professional contract at only 17 he's been a junior international for England & also scoring twice on his debut for England U-17.. A sure starter in an ageing Delhi side, I see him doing very well..
I see him doing well as well but lets not confuse this for what it really is. A Pakistani-British player coming to the Indian Super League from a Premier League club that Delhi Dynamos and West Brom seem to be close with.
