Common folks lets not be too judgmental on Nepal, a win is ultimately a win. Their national team is crap at least let them have something to look forward to, however superficial it is.
Opponents having Overage players and india played with B team . wow !! clasic indian culture . Learn to respect talents . If Nepal u16 were raised giving as much infrastructure and coaches like india u16, Nepalese kids will go too higher .
@dsgarison Nobody is degrading Nepal and we are happy for Nepal team for their wins unlike the abusive neplaese fans who continuously shows disrespect to Indain Football team whether it is senior level or any age group level. I remember a bunch of uncultured fans ( in thousands !) showing middle finger to the Indian U16 kids last time when they beat Nepal in the final SAFF U16 @ Desharath Stadium. Also your last sentence is some thing which i differ . let me tell you one thing ... In U14 and U16 competitions infrastructure and high level coaching will not have much impact. Remember poor countries like Ghana , Nigeria won U17 world cup several times.
If Nepali fans find out about this forum they would join and start abusing here also..as is their habit..they should learn something from India and Pakistan..it is so ironical that despite being historical arch rivals there is no bad blood, abuse btween Indian and Pakistani football fans!
On a different note, was going through TOI articles and found that most of the players of this U-16 team like Aniket,Gaston etc were scouted by Nicolai in June only..he started working with this bunch from July and plenty of improvement so far!..on the other hand Nicolai was very disappointed with Goa academy quality and openly said none of them is good enough to make the U-17 world cup..hence that squad was sent to SAFF..just sharing this though most of you may already be aware of it
