That's a poor statement @7negi. Lallianzuala was the top scorer in the U19 I-League last season with 16 goals, outscoring Daniel (13) and Milan (12), while Mawihmingthanga (12) was right up there with the Daniel and Milan, who were the starting forwards for AIFF. I think Mawihmingthanaga was one of the top assist-ers last season too. I would say based on the U19 I-League performance, as far as forwards go, they did well selecting Daniel, Milan, Lallianzuala and Mawihmingthanga. I was surprised about Kunurniyan, but after seeing him play, I understand why he has been selected; uses his body well, more physical and direct in style, and left footed.
Lallianzuala was top scorer bcz he was in Weak Pune Zone , in Final rounds he cant do anything against strong team , hope u have watched him play for U19 Squad in these matches , If DSK players are good enough then some how SESA , Sporting , Salgaocar Youth players should be given chance to prove them selves in a friendly matches..
@7negi - I don't obviously have anything to do with the selection of these players. The adage "You can only beat what's put in front of you" comes to mind with respect to the statement that the DSK players scored only because they were in the weaker Pune zone, which incidentally had Pune in the same group, and it was Pune who finished as group winners. I think it would have been ludicrous to ignore Lallianzuala and Mawihmingthanga simply because they were among the top scorers.
Besides, both of them scored 4 goals each in the Final Round, Milan scored 8 and Daniel 6. By that logic, are you saying that Milan only scored 4 goals in his group because it was stronger than the final round?
Only 1 player from the other 3 Goan teams you mentioned scored anywhere near what Lallianzuala and Mawihmingthanga did (Naro Hair Shrestha of Salgaocar with 10 goals). As far as the forwards go, I think the right players were picked from DSK.
The real ag laliniza. Has missed at least 10 to 15 goals in 3 actmatches . Most probably he will be dropped when Rakesh oram & Mila is fit. Yes I agree with negi aiff is favouring dsk shivijan boys
@karenesudhakar2050 - When Milan and Oram are fit, I expect them to start in place of Suman Sarkar, as Oram is a right winger, and one of Mawihminghthanga or Lallianzuala. I think the two DSK forwards are players the AIFF need to keep an eye out for and monitor to see if they keep up the level of performance they showed last season.
If you think Lallianzuala missed chances, what do you have to say about Daniel? He is just as guilty if not more for his performances during the SAFF U19 championship. What is more, he looked lethargic and like he didn't want to be there, and be rather with the other squad.
I think both Lallianzuala Chhangte and Jerry Mawihmingthanga deserve to be in the squad or at least be in the reckoning for when squads for big tronaments are chosen at youth level.
The realag I am observing Daniel from u-16 days he is one of the key player who made us to qualify us in afc u-16 tournament in 2013. He had one bad tournament in saff he did not miss 10 to 15 chances.he had missed 3 chances.we should wait & watchon coming act matches
Of course. My post wasn't really aimed at denigrating Daniel, but rather about keeping players like the two DSK forwards close to the youth team setup to see if they develop like Daniel has. You just said yourself, Daniel has been there for a while and has done well; shouldn't we give the time and chances to the two promising DSK lads that was afforded to Daniel?

Sukdev Patil will not play qualifiers as SLFC U19 GK will joined team for that
but why hasn't a Goan established himself in current NT (don't include Francis)
and Situation of Goan teams in I-League 2015 are NE players to be blamed for that
if u have talent u can perform at any stage
