Back to I league expansion. As long as team ready to play should be fine. I would like Tata group to be present in ISL Than I league or both.

When JRD Tata, Naval Tata and Russi Mody were running Tata Group, they invested in sports. Tata Sports club was there in Bombay and a regular at Rover Cup. Many Hockey, Football and Cricket players were given jobs. Tata Football Academy and archery academy  was also established.
Ratan Tata and present head Cyrus Mistry are not that interested in Sports. I can understand that now their business is shrinking because of competiton and open market. Earlier they used to have monopoly.

3 businessman connected with Sports - Sahara Subroto Roy, Vijay Mallaya and Lalit Modi have their own problems and court cases. Indian Sports is short of Corporates.
    :P

  • Is it true that East Bongal and Mohon Bogan are planning to close down their clubs, it would be great news and all the members will agree that closing down them would be benefiical for ISL and Indian football

One Nation One League -- ONOL. I am in favour of it as much I am for OROP.

Both the stadiums are quite old and some stands of Keenan are out of bounds as they are not safe.
JRD can be used for the matches but it is quite big. With the feeder centers TFA is trying to catch local talents so maybe they want to enter into the ileague.
Airport is there, but it's mostly for private use by TATAs.
New airport is planned by land acquisition is creating hurdles.

I am not saying that it will get 25k regularly, but 10,000 is something that it witnesses whenever there is TFA vs TATA Steel match so for TFA vs ileague game which is certainly be covered by newspapers and all it will draw decent amount of crowd, certainly more crowd than Goa or Pune/Mumbai.
AFC criteria for separate entity might be big issue let's see if they do it or not.

akshay 23 is as much entitled to a non I-league indian football scenario as much as the majority of the posters here who wanted a non IMG/ISL scenario.

cmon guys dont abuse, we need as many different opinionated people here to make the forum interesting.
