TFA trying to enter ileague,AIFF officials inspected TFA and stadiums.

The meeting didn't doesn't seem to have resolved anything....typical. The pessimistic me feels quite sure that we will have a short and crisp 7-8 ileague without a match being played at Balewadi. I personally don't see how a merger can happen, too many conflicting interests...if it could have happened, the timeline would have been 1-2 years . 3-5 years timeframe clearly means #AIFF/#IMG don't have a clue or are just buying time.

TFA playing is not a bad idea. Unlike Arrows, it has a fixed infrastructure. Will bring a new venue as well.

I am pretty sure of full houses at Jamshedpur, a great stadium is already in place (although no floddlights, if I am correct). If matches are held in weekends afternoon, surely 25k plus crowds. Plus Tata's are a responsible corporate and are unlikely to do a KBFC.

This would be great challenge to BFC with an excellent youth setup already in place (probably the best in ileague). If AIFF manages to convince them for this season, there would be a like from me for Sunando Dhar's work for the 1st time ever.

This is also likely to be a catalyst for youth football in Jharkhand from where excellent sports schools like Gumla used to consistently compete for Subroto cup's (till only about a decade ago and produce quality talent before Indian caps started being auctioned off.

I love the assumption of 25,000 fans... then as soon as something happens and those crowds don't show we wonder why.

@ArsenalFan700, smaller cities are starved of big ticket sporting events, look at the fans in Kerala last year for small local tournaments where the only "big name"was Churchill....for ileague to succeed smaller cities are the way to go...my belief ofcourse there will be counter arguments.

for eg look at HIL ranchi franchise has 5k people waiting for a ticket for almost every match (while the small Mahindra stadium in Mumbai is barely half full) , but the small stadium can't accommodate more...so my theory , I believe has been tested and maybe proven also.

It is proven when the tickets are cheap, and or free.

HIL tickets are neither cheap nor free, but that is a perspective. An avg ticket costs around 200 bucks not bad for a small town.

But no arguments here, just my point of view. Its only a conjecture, we are anyways not likely to have ileague in Jamshedpur/Bhubeneshwar/Indore/Jaipur/Baroda in the next decade.

No airport in Jamshedpur...3hr drive to the nearest...doesn't fulfill AFC criteria....

Surely Jamshedpur is better equipped than Aizawal!!

There is an airport though i agree no regular flights currently.

What AFC criteria, would be a challenge?

But I agree that this is a hypothetical discussion at present.
