    @Ashlesh,

    I have been watching Indian football Since 96 mate. From the First match to the last match when JCT won, I also saw it when Zee was brought in to support and the matches were fantastic, I think most here miss the point over and over again. NFL started with a Bang, I-league started with a Bang.

    But look at I-league it is failing isnt it? you always have clubs shutting shop because you aren't able to sustain costs which are still low (Average Budget of a Mid table I-league team might be upto 10 crores max while a ISL wage budget itself is 20 crores), If your League winners themselves are shutting shop (JCT, Mahindra,before ISL conception itself and Churchill, Dempo, PFC & Bharat post ISL ) then there is something seriously wrong with the way you have setup your league.

    You dont have clarity in your revenue model as well as Marketing is shoddy. Hence you are currently in the situation where we are trying to create an alternate model all over again.

    DSK probably in to highlight their dream city. We'll have to wait and see what they'll do once the dream city apartments are completely sold.

    They'll probably even claim to send the kids of apartment owners to Liverpool for trials.

  • Just to clarify, the affiliation Liverpool has with DSK is just for their youth academy that participates in the U19 I-League. This is a "Liverpool International Football Academy - DSK Shivajians". There will be no association with the senior team. Additionally, while LFC will send coaches to the academy to be based full-time, and some part-time, it is worth noting that many other such International academies exist for LFC all over the world. They will not take any players to Merseyside from the academy either and the money side will have to be controlled by DSK I think. If DSK stop the financials, LFC will pull out.
