99% might be pushing it but overall, yes. I mean, Nidhin Lal is mentioned here! 2nd or 3rd choice to me at most in the I-League. Nadong Bhutia? Ramandeep Singh? Vignesh? Lalit Thapa?
I mean, some of these guys just got lucky to get ISL contracts and will probably get them anyway!
37 year old who wouldnt be able to sustain himself for a long season in terms of consistant performances.
He did well at RB during ISL but most of tackles were bordering on unwanted agressiveness.
Not much going forward. He may not do well against pace, did well in ISL bcos of a good midfield in CFC which either kept the ball in the middle or punted it to mendoza forward.
I am amazed how lord Sushil has landed a contract but T Haokip hasnt. Indian football is definitely in right hands. I'm convinced. Most of these players are either old, hardly featured even for their ISL teams.6 players in the list were part of ATK, and you can refer back to Habas' comments on how unimpressed he was. Clubs will always look for value for money. Am sure they have their reasons why these players havent been picked by any.
There is a difference between playing 17 matches quickly than playing 6 months with breaks in between.
If ur in a roll and know what to do.. then u might just make it as the games are thick and fast while if its a longer duration.. consistency matters esp when ur opposition is also recharged.
Plus the fact ur not gonna get wadoo to play in the BFC /MBFC teams where u have quality around you (i-league level) to help u around.
In CFC although he did well he was invariably most times helped by his wingers and CB's too for each time.
One on One he comes up better only on 1 out of 4 occasions.

I mean total of 9 teams with 16 matches each spread from January to April.
And the Fed Cup afterwards.
Chennai played 17 matches in a really cramped schedule.

Maybe MFC or DSK should snap him
