  • @gaffertape Sunando Dhar was at Leisure Sports Management and they were the guys who organised PHL  Indian Premier Hockey league 2005 to 2008.   Actually it was way better with pan India coverage and whole world players. Current version HIL is only obsessed with Australian players and few North Indian cities.

the Leisure Sports Management problems with AIFF and non-payment of money to Star Sports in year 1 is  the interesting story...

Then making the LSM guy the CEO of the I-League...   :-O
.. you can't make up this stuff

Winning I League was not at all a fluke for MB. I am very very happy for them as a Kolkata football fan. EB started many times convincingly and then stumbled. That doesn't give the license to call it a fluke just for the sake of arguing that 'EB is better than MB'. Both are great clubs and yes, it is true that on H2H EB is far ahead. But that doesn't demean MB's win.

Have the bigger-than-I-league ghughni in peace, and let us concentrate on bigger things. Ever been near to the I-league trophy? Know how it feels when you touch it? Tsssk, you could have come to MB tent to check it out when we displayed it :D :D :D.

  • @Deb_Ban : u need not explain stuffs to guys who doesn't understand football! Their only purpose is to demean people, be at their abusive best and try and win by bad mouthing others! They know very well, people are generally not interested to react to abusive people - and they are happy with that idea! Thats how they have "won" all war of words! And these "traits", they attribute to their inherent aggression/passion for the club!

Not knowing humility in defeat and accepting it with honour is generally a faulty genetic trait. MB fans should remember the congratulations we shared for them winning the I-League in the first place. But a good old drubbing and they get the daggers out blaming our club, refree and IFA, ha! Well, you get what you send out mates.

Let us discontinue mud slinging, if we don't give it back.. then they would stand dirty handed & finally wipe it at their own faces.

Hands not required, another solid kick in the I-League derby would be enough.
